ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Dolapo Fameso is the founder of CleverCrest Academy and a passionate advocate for children, families, and equal access to high-quality education.
She graduated from London South Bank University with a first-class Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work. Her professional background has given her a strong understanding of child development, safeguarding, inclusion, family support, and the importance of recognising each child’s individual needs.

Clevercrest Academy was founded in 2020, when the disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic revealed significant gaps in children’s learning. As schools closed and pupils adapted to remote education, Dolapo recognised that many children needed additional academic support, encouragement, and structure. She established Clevercrest Academy to help children rebuild lost learning, develop confidence, and continue progressing despite the challenges created by the pandemic.

Dolapo has always believed that no child is incapable of learning. Every child has unique strengths, abilities, and talents, although these may not always be immediately recognised within a traditional classroom environment. She believes that when children receive the right teaching approach, patience, encouragement, and consistent support, they can make meaningful progress and reach their full potential.

Her vision for Clevercrest Academy is to create a safe, supportive, and inspiring learning environment where students are not defined by their current grades or difficulties. Instead, they are encouraged to recognise their strengths, overcome barriers, and develop a positive attitude towards learning.

Dolapo is also deeply committed to fairness and equal opportunity. She believes that every child and family should be treated with dignity, respect, and understanding, regardless of their background or financial circumstances. This commitment has inspired her to advocate for greater access to bursaries and scholarships at independent schools, particularly for talented and hardworking children who may otherwise be unable to benefit from such opportunities.

Through Clevercrest Academy, Dolapo aims to support families not only through academic tuition but also through guidance, confidence-building, and access to wider educational opportunities. The academy seeks to work in partnership with parents, tutors, and students to identify individual learning needs and provide support that is both challenging and encouraging.
